For many years, I headed departments or corporate units in senior executive positions of internationally leading corporations and organizations. I professionalized internal and external service­-units and turned them into strategic partners; to this end, I initiated and took charge of successive major organizational developmental steps. Together with my team, I increased the number of customers and clients. At corporate level, I accelerated, shaped and facilitated processes of cultural change and value orientation. I was adviser to board­members and implemented innovative communication and decision making processes on their behalf.

International

I lived, worked and negotiated in Germany as well as abroad (EU, USA, Asia). In order to connect executives and managers across regions and national borders, I developed suitable platforms like intercultural leadership conferences, interdisciplinary executive summer schools and international best practice forums. I think and act across borderlines. Due to my international exposure, I am versatile in intercultural communication and experienced in cooperating with virtual global teams.

Cross-Country Maneuverable: Business, Academia and Politics

After having collected substantial experience in business, the political community, the cultural field and in public administration, I lead and transformed a transatlantic joint-venture of business and academia. I mediated between representatives of different national, sectoral, and functional backgrounds with a host of differing interests. In doing so, I catalyzed their exchange; I devised and implemented action plans as well as communication strategies for challenging occasions. Entrepreneurs, business executives as well as leaders in academia and the political field consulted me and made use of my professional experience.

Background in the Humanities and General Management-Qualification

It was through my philological, philosophical and rhetorical studies in Cologne, Exeter and Toronto that I acquired my tool-­kit for my own success. I supplemented it by General Management qualification on the job as well as at the Carnegie Bosch Institute (Pittsburgh, USA) and at INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France).
